Bali will host the World Culture Development Forum November 24-29, 2013.

Proclaiming that Bali has a major role to play in the development of the world’s diverse cultures, the deputy-minister for Education and Culture, Wiendu Nuryanti, said on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Bali that two important topics will be discussed in Bali. Those topics are the subject of culture itself and culture’s impact the overall welfare of the public.

“In the coming meeting,” Nuryanti explained, “in addition to discussing a culture-related agenda, how culture can improve the people’s welfare will also be discussed. How the power of culture works in enhancing the welfare of the public.”

“In becoming the host of the conference, through Indonesia's role as an extraordinarily culturally diverse country the Nation play an international role in the development of culture”

The World Culture Development Forum will welcome leaders from 40 countries and Nobel Prize winners in the field of culture.

Concluding, Nuryanti said: “Why in Bali? This is because Bali is an example that demonstrates the synergetic profile of combining culture and the people’s welfare. We are hoping that this meeting becomes a regular event."
